So, I think I have blogged about this before???? Sam is going through a phase where he is afraid to be alone anywhere, anytime. He says he is afraid of monsters, those little B******s!!!! It has gotten so bad that I cannot even take a shower. If I do, he has to open the shower door and watch me. So, I have started taking baths, and washing my hair in the sink! When he is playing in his playroom and he doesn't hear me, he will call out, "Mommy, where are you, are you downstairs?" I will say, "Yes." he will then want my exact location, lol. This will go on every 1 or 2 minutes. I mean I can't even run upstairs to drop laundry off, go into the garage to take out the garbage.... I could go on and on, but you get the gist of it. We have tried to explain to him that monsters are not real and he is safe, all that stuff, but it just isn't getting through. I have heard of people putting water in a spray bottle and spraying it around saying it is monster repellent. I am going to try that. This has been going on, well at least since it has gotten this bad, for about a month. I just hate seeing him so afraid and unsure. I want him to feel safe in our home. And, I want to take a shower, lol!! Any ideas that have worked for anyone that may have gone through this is greatly appreciated.
