Honor & Heroes

Please take time today and remember those who fight, love and have given their life so that we can be safe and free. These are true heroes and we need to honor them respectively.

Paul Mario Zanzucchi
First Sergeant 158th Infantry
Today I went through all of my Papa's memoirs from his time in WWII. It was very emotional to me since I know how much his service meant to him, and know a tiny bit of what he went through from stories he has told me and all the pictures and journals I have of his. The bond and friendships these men had are something that we can never understand.

Dad on leave in Oklahoma

My Dad was in Vietnam from 1967-1969. He was one of the men who fired the cannon. He left for war when he was 18. My mom actually became pregnant with me when my Dad was on leave in Oklahoma. My Dad didn't get to meet me in person until I was about 6 months old. My Dad was never the same after he came home. That war changed him my mom said, like it did so many. He never talked about it, ever.

I am honored to call these men my father and grandfather. And thank them and all the others for everything they do for our country.
