Wednesday we went to Kindergarten Open House! A few weeks ago we had Meet The Teacher Night as well. This night we got to see where Sam would be sitting, his cubby, got a tour of the school, met some of the PTA, chatted with his teacher and met some classmates! Sam is getting a bit excited, still a bit worried, but we talk about school, read books about kindergarten, and tell him our stories when we were in kindergarten. He actually went to a couple of days to The Summer Camp at the school, so he has a feel fo the school. And one of the teachers in Summer Camp is Mrs. Raby's Assistant in the classroom, so that was perfect! I also found out a friend from the playgroup we were in (when Sam was a little guy) will be attending the same school. Her daughter will start 1st grade there and next year her son will go to kinder, so that will be fun seeing them again!! The first day only the kindergartners go. They go for 2 hours and then the second day all the classes start as well. I think we are all ready, got his backback and his uniforms are all washed and embroidered. It will be an emotional day for sure! I can't wait to see him in all his school stuff, what a handsome young boy! We are so proud of him, this is going to be a big step, wish us lots of love and a little luck!

San Diego
Wow, what a wonderful time we had in San Diego! We were there for 5 days. Spent a lot of time at SeaWorld. I wish I would have taken more photos, but I was just to preoccupied with fun! Sam had so much fun! He adores Shamu and wants to live at SeaWorld. I can't get over how amazing those animals are, it is really something. The weather was perfect! The water was COLD! Our hotel was lovely! We had the best room, it was perfect for us, and what a view we had. Sam did great on the drive, I was quite surprised and proud of him!! I can't wait to go back next year. What wonderful memories we have!!

Wicket
Sam now has an imaginary friend, Wicket! It is so fascinating to watch this all. It started a couple of weeks ago. Wicket goes with us to a lot of places, not all. He will fasten him into the car in a seat belt, put him to bed, feed him, etc., as well as have conversations. This morning he wakes me up, well I was awake but just sort of watching him without him knowing and he sits straight up, smiles and looks over at me and says, "Mom, guess what today is!" And I thought he was going to say Zach and Charlie were coming over since they were, but he says, "It's Wicket's birthday!" So I am super excited of course..... we go down stairs and he starts pretend decorating the house. At one point he his throwing his arms up like he is putting a table cloth onto a table, and that's what he was doing. It is so wonderful this imagination he has. I really need to start writing down everything. Does your child have an imaginary friend? Love to hear about it!
