Sam on the Horse they had at The Little Gym! I didn't know they were going to take their picture, they just gave this to me the next time I was in!!!
So I have slacked off again on my blog! For a few reasons I guess.
1. I have started writing in my journal again and haven't felt the overwhelming need to blog, lol!
2. Busy!!!
3. Trying to stay off the computer. It can be a total time waster... I get on to blog and check e-mail and I have been on too long. So only a few times a week now
4. Oh, our memory card reader I use to download my pics is not working so that is not fun. I will update some pics soon...
Some of Sam's new adventures to date have been going to The Little Gym once a week. And, once a week he is going to what they call Summer Camp at The Little Gym. Each week is a different theme. One week was Cowboys. He so loved that. They are there for 3 hours and do things involved in that theme. They had a horse come and they all got to sit on it! And another week was Pirate Week. They searched for hidden treasure. They play, do a craft and have a snack. Sam absolutely loves it there! And they tell the kids they can dress up to the theme of the week, so of course Sam has. He loves to dress up, and has at least a half dozen different costumes! So far he has been the only kid to dress up on the days we have been at least. Pretty funny. The next week is Hero's Week. And, he is going on the day they have a police officer, which he loves! So, you can bet your bottom dollar he will have his Police Man costume on. Actually, he is already talking about it and getting it all planned out!
Jeff is going to start taking Sam to his Kung Fu Studio. Sam is so interested in it, and I think it will be good for him. Him and Jeff practice, and Jeff shows him new moves. I catch Sam all the time practicing his moves. It teaches self discipline, confidence, respect and courage. Jeff may even be teaching the class....
Chess, he loves it. Doesn't know everything, but he will very soon. Knows the names, how they move, etc.
The movies, at an actual movie theater. I know most people and their kids have gone and go often. We are not movie people, nor TV either. We didn't even get a DVD player until Sam was born, lol! Haven't been to a theater in over 4 years, don't own movies, except Sam has a few.... Hollywood to me is a huge joke. But, when Kung Fu Panda came out I said we have to go! So we went last week to the new theater that opened across the road form us. we had a really nice time, and the movie was quite cute. We didn't know if Sam would be able to sit through it since he very rarely can sit and watch a 20 minute program. But he did great, up and down a lot, but he really like the movie. He wants to go back so I am sure we will accommodate him! Cute movie!
Swimming of course. We just got out of the pool actually. He is doing really well this year and is pretty much a full swimmer. He is even doing flips off the side of the pool, deep breath!
Being a policeman. He will wear his costume all day long. Hat, gun holster, the whole bit. We had some friends come from Montana to stay with us recently. They have been gone for a while now, and yesterday he comes to me with a ticket. He has these little pieces of paper he uses as tickets and he gives them to us, and whom ever is around. Well,l he had made one up for Jan for sleeping too late! While they were here one of the days she slept in until almost 10 and Sam wanted her up so badly! So he made me promise that I would go to the post office and send her this ticket. So Jan, be aware of you ticket on the way, lol!
He has this thing now where everything has to have a friend or something with it (whatever it may be) so it doesn't get lonely. Like he made a cactus out of a potato and toothpicks at the Little Gym and we had to make another so it would have a friend to be with so he wouldn't be sad. It really is sweet.
He has always been my helper with the plants and flowers, but now he has his own garden kit and I let him clip his plants. He is so proud and takes great care.
Beans, the boy is obsessed with beans! Pinto, garbanzo and re fried. It would be so easy for him to be a vegetarian, lol! He could live off beans, tomatoes and Popsicles!
Gosh I know there is more, but for now I am signing off!
