Catch Up.....

Let's see, Thursday we went to the nursery to pick out trees and bushes for the backyard finally! I am so excited to get the yard done. We were there for about 2 hours, and Sam was so good and thought it was a pretty cool place. They have roosters and baby chicks walking all around and of course lots of DIRT! So they are coming on the 27th to plant everything, yippee!

Sam and Jeff got in the hot tub on Saturday. We have had to have them redo our plaster and stuff so our pool was just finally "ready" just recently. The salt system is up and going and is really nice compared to the chlorine pool that we used to have. It is going to be a fun summer with lots of entertaining to do!

Sunday I went to the Women's Expo with my mom. It was really fun, and I will go back next year! I saw our fertility doctor there with his practice. He of course wanted to see pictures of Sam!

And today we are taking it easy, Sam has come down with a cold and I think I am as well. We did go to the library to return our books and get a few new ones. He keeps telling me he needs to go to the doctor and that he can't go outside because he is sick, so funny! He is so sweet and I am just amazed by him daily. My Mother In Law told me yesterday that he colored her some pictures and asked her if she would like to take them home with her, and he would just come up to her and giver her hugs out of the blue. He is a joy to be around.....

Easter Sunday

When Sam woke up the first thing he said was "The Easter Bunny"...... I said yep, I think he came.! So we got up and Jeff put Sam's basket on the front porch and rang the doorbell while we were in the other room. We ran to the door and opened it up. He saw the basket there and immediately slammed the door! And he did this a couple of times, like he was a bit worried about the whole thing. It was so funny! Then he finally spotted the little cars in the basket and he then got excited! He is so funny, you never know what to expect!

We had a lot of family over ate a lot of food and had an egg hunt which he really, really thought was fun. We played in the backyard with bubbles and he got a wheelbarrow that he pushed around all day! It was like Christmas for him. He is totally spoiled! We had a really nice day!

Handy Sammy

Today Sam has had so much fun! He helped Daddy hang a ceiling fan in his room that we went and picked out. He is so funny, he has his own tape measure and he takes it into the store with him and he measures everything. At Lowe's he was measuring the riding lawnmowers in front of the store! He attracted an audience, he is the cutest thing I have ever seen I swear!!! So we got his fan and they hung that up. He has to get his tools and help of course. He now knows all the names of the parst to the ceiling fan. And, this will be all he talks about for a day or so.We also decorated our Easter eggs today. He thinks they are beautiful! Although he wants to eat the shells that are colored..... he loves hard boiled eggs. I am very excited about Easter for him tomorrow. I can't wait to put his basket together tonight! We are having the family over tomorrow to eat and have an egg hunt.
He said this to me yesterday, and I have to write it down or I will forget:
I Had the air conditioning on high in the back seat of the car and he said, "Momma, turn off that air conditioning it is making my hair crazy!"

Family....

Yesterday Sam spent a couple of hours with Grandpa and Nana Paula while I went to a hair appointment. He just loves spending time over there! They played in the backyard all morning, and there is so much to do and see in that big yard of theirs. We are so lucky to have so much family around who want to spend time with Sam. He is really creating wonderful relationships with all of his Grandparents. There isn't a week that goes by that he does not see one of his Grandparents (Grandpa, Nana Paula, Grandma or Granny). He is SO loved, and we are so lucky to be close with all of our family, and truly enjoy spending time with them. It is so sad to hear that so many people do not get along with their family, and are not close, I just can't imagine...... Sam and Jeff are outside mowing the lawn right now. So I am playing catch up. Got lots to do.........

Just a regular Monday...

Sam had swim lessons today. He is doing really well! He loves, loves, loves the water! We had to run some errands afterwards and had lunch at Rubio's and sat outside on the patio. He thought it was fun, since we could watch all the cars driving down the street, and he could feed the birds chips! Came home and lately he is obsessed with throwing Daisy's ball at her, and trying to make her chase him..... those of you who know Daisy (one of our dogs, about 13 years old) know she is getting very annoyed with this! He will just giggle and scream and run through the house, it is crazy! I tell you he just loves life, and everything is so much fun! I am trying to make a video for each month of Sam's 1st year on One True Media. It will take some time, lol! Tempe Arts Festival

I had a Girls Day Out today! I went to then Tempe Arts Festival with Marcie, Michelle, Darleen and Teri. We had such a good time! It was my first time there and it was huge! We shopped, had lunch, shopped, had Happy Hour.... It really was such a nice day, and good to spend time with the girls. Sam and Jeff had their Boy's Day as well. They mowed the lawn, played in the dirt, played pool and who knows what else I am not aware of, lol! Jeff was telling me when I got home that earlier Sam had spotted some dog poop in the grass and said, "Dad we got trouble over here!" I thought that was so funny!
