The Big Puddle

Our waklway becomes a puddle when Sam is playing with the hose, and he
loves to push his dump truck as fast as he can
through it and scream as loud as he can as
well! Our neighbors probably think this is the crazy house over here with all the noise between us and the dogs, lol! He wants me to stand as close to the puddle as I can when he comes barreling through it! Fun for all....

Mother's Day

So we celebrated Mother's Day today, Saturday, since Jeff has to be at the Restaurant tomorrow. Tomorrow, Sam and I will go to the restaurant in the morning and have breakfast! But today we went to an early dinner with my mom, Charlyne, Jeff and of course Sam! We had a wonderful time and the food was excellent! Came home and hung out. And as I reflect on my life and what joy I have, I really am so happy and blessed. We really are so lucky to be able to celebrate Mother's Day AND Fathers' Day. So many people can just PLAN to have a baby and it is so, and I am sooo very envious of them you have no idea. Us on the other hand, had to go about it differently. We tried seriously for 7 years and did not have the resources to really look into why we couldn't get pregnant, and when we were able to get the help we needed it was a whole other obstacle to pass. BUT we did, and that is why Mother's Day means so much, just those 2 words brings tears to my eyes. I now know what it meant to my mom and dad those days, and well everyday! I am also so thankful to have my mom, she is the most amazing person you have no idea! I am an only child and my Dad died when I was 15 and so it has been her and I, and I thank God for her. If I can be the kind of mom she was to me, Sam will be a very lucky boy.

Shiner Time.....

A BOY BEFORE HE REALLY GROWS UP,
is pretty much like a wild animal. He can get the wits scared clear out of him today and by tomorrow have forgotten all about it.

Fred Gipson, Old Yeller
This is not Sam's first shiner, nor his last....... My fun loving, adventurous, fearless Super Sam has me worried about what the future has in store for us down the road, lol! He is so mischievous that he is always getting himself into some sort of predicament. Sort of like Curious George or Tom Sawyer....... I truly love that about him. Since he was born really he has been constantly moving. The DAY he was born he was holding his head up, the nurses were amazed. He was never content to be just sitting in his car seat, boppy, swing whatever!! He had to be moving and he would not be confined!! Which I guess is why he started walking before he was even 9 months! I don't wish that on any new mommy!! I see infants, toddlers sitting in the car seats, strollers happily content sleeping or just relaxing, that was never the case with Sam! He had to be out to explore all there was to see even when he couldn't crawl or anything he had to be free! Even when he is sleeping he is all over our bed, at the bottom, sideways, on top of our heads, talking, laughing so funny. Which makes me think about the near future. Boy it is going to be a wild ride, and I am looking forward to it... I think! He is keeping me young is what I tell myself at 38!! God I love that boy!!!

Painting

Sam is into painting right now.
It is so cool to see him actually sit STILL for 5 minutes and create his masterpieces!
We do however need to buy more brushes.... he has smashed them all to look like those little troll dolls' hair!!

Towmater...

Sam has a ride on Towmater that he has had for a while and he is too big for it, but he loves it! He rides that thing all over the house and chases the poor dogs! The seat lifts up and has a little compartment. It is amazing what I find in there sometimes - food, things I have been missing, keys..... He also likes to put his 'garage tent' on the back of Towmater and pulls it around and calls it his motorhome, can you imagine, so funny!

Just Monkeying around!

Tascha has a playset in her yard and Sam plays on it when he is done with his Swim lessons. Granny has been coming with us to watch. This is from this past Tuesday. The heat just doesn't bother the kids does it, amazing! He has no fear and Granny is a bit worried.....

Swim Lesson with Tascha

So we are going somewhere new now for Sam's swim lessons. And boy is it amazing what Tascha has taught him in just a few lessons! He swims to the bottom of the pool, which is 6 feet, and picks up his ring and brings them up to her. He can dive off the deck, and swim quite a ways to the step under water with no assistance. She says he will be pretty much swimming by himslef in a month! He loves her, she is great! We are so proud of him and so looking forward to swimming with my buddy this summer!!!

The Never Ending Backyard!

So we are still working on our backyard! It is a work in progress for sure. Between the restaurant and misc happenings it alwasy gets put back. But it is coming along. We have had a lot of set backs, another story! But at least Jeff always has his Super Sam to help him back there. Sam absolutely loves to work in the yard! He is in such awe of his Daddy and everything he does. They are so much alike! Sam knows all the tools by their names what they do, about sprinkler systems, everything that Daddy does he shows Sam what he is doing. It is amazing that Sam remembers just after once telling him. They are fixing the sprinkler system in these photos......

Wheel Barrow Races

Boy does Sam love to be pushed in anything, and the faster the better! So when his Funkle, aka Great Uncle Dave came over he had decided to put Sam in his little wheel barrow and push him around the backyard. I wish I had audio of this! Then everyone had to take turns pushing him and Daddy got in on the fun! Good exercise for the old guys!!

Dress Up Time With Granny

We came home from shopping and after unpacking a plate there was left over paper so Granny decided to dress Sam up as an angel or maybe it is a nun we haven't decided. But either way it was fun!!
