Long Time no Blog.....

So it has been quite a while since I have updated the Blog! This month has been a bit overwhelming to say the least! Some of you know that I found a lump in my breast at the end of July. Well I had to have many mammograms and ultrasounds and lastly Monday I had to have the lump surgically removed to send it out for a biopsy. Well I saw the surgeon today and he had my results from the pathologist and it is benign, thank God! What a relief, I am so glad this is behind us. I am so thankful, and this whole crazy experience really gave me the opportunity to look at my life and put things in better perspective. You really cannot take anything for granted, and you have to live and love so much more. My family has been so supportive and loving, although I could tell how much they were worried. Sam saw my "owie" last night and was very upset about it and said to me, "Mommy how am I going to hug you with your owie?" Then he grabbed my face and pulled it to his and said, "You are such a cutie!" Can you imagine, he is such a wonderful little guy I could just eat him up! So I am off to live, love and laugh way more than before!!

Day At The Science Center

We spent Tuesday at the Science Center. I really love to go there. They had a cool exhibit that you play with sand and water and create your own river. It was a lot of fun. All the boys where crowded in that area! And they had construction themed things and fun computer games. Along with all the other regular things that are always there. Sam and Jeff loved playing the video games together. I guess I really need to get Sam going on the computer, he seemed to be a natural. Although I don't particularly want him playing a lot of those games, but more of the educational stuff while I still can keep him away from that, lol! We stopped for pizza at our favorite joint and stopped for ice cream on the way home. It was a good day!

Sam & His "Kids"

Those of you who know Sam know he has "Oh Bear". He got him on his first Christmas when he was 6 months. He is his love, best friend, and snugly! We don't go anywhere without him, I mean anywhere. Sometimes I can convince him to leave him in the car. And he will tell Oh Bear, "Now you stay here in the car so no one will take you!" Well anyway, he has now added a few companions to the mix. We have Baby, who is a doll my MIL gave him for his 1st birthday and another bear he calls Baby Bear. So now we have to take all 3 everywhere we go! In the middle of the night, well around 11, Sam comes into our bed and he has them all with him. I just love hearing him talk to all of them so lovingly and kissing them and he makes them all talk to each other. He tells them he loves them, that he missed them, he feeds them, you get the idea. Lately he has been making me take pictures of them before he goes to bed, and then he has to take some as well. Oh and he loves for Oh Bear to drive my car! I have to set him up on the steering wheel. He will then ask bear where he is driving and tells Oh Bear where to turn if we are in our neighborhood. It is funny, you should see the looks I get from other drivers! I love this nurturing. loving side of him. He is such a sweet little guy. I am so fortunate to also have a hubby who is very loving and even tell his Dad he loves him still, and isn't afraid to show affection to anyone he loves. He doesn't care that Sam has a doll and loves on him, he plays right along with him. I know Sam will become a loving, nurturing man, father and husband.

Our Family of Feathered Friends

Sam quietly watching, oh and I love this shirt. Too funny!
We have a little feathered family on our front porch! We noticed a few weeks ago a nest and the mommy and daddy bird there all the time. With doves one of the parents is always on the nest "guarding" the eggs, they take turns. Well finally there were 2 babies!! They have been just sitting up there. There poor nest has been completely blown away, but at least they have a little ledge. We go out every day and check on them and they don't seem afraid of us. I think they will be on their own soon and gone. It is just amazing the dedication these parent birds have, if only all species, including human, were this dedicated to their babies. It really is amazing to me. I just love all animals and find them so interesting and often times really amazed at what they have to go through just in their every day lives.
