Our Anniversary!

Jeff and I celebrated our anniversary last weekend! We went to Westgate with our best friends and had dinner and walked around. It was such a lovely night. I can't beleive we have been togehter for so very long. Sometimes it seems forever sometimes it seems like just yesterday we were crazy teenagers. When I think of 20 years it makes me feel really old, lol! I can remeber us talking about our hopes and dreams and it seems 2 have come true. We of course always talked about having children, little did we know the challenges we would have to overcome to do it, but thank God we were blessed with Sam. And we always talked about owning our own restaurant. So now what is on our journey...... not sure, just a happy healthy life is all I want and need right now. Jeff is definitley my soul mate, and I love him more every year, month, day, minute.......
This is our song (Unchained Melody), such a beautiful song, enjoy!

Mexico Fiesta!

We had such a great trip to Mexico this time. Although every time is great this time was really great! Sam as at a great age now that he really has fun and can do his own thing. He has no fear of the water, which is good and bad! The weather and water were perfect! We spent the whole time just playing in the water with the exception of our traditional trip to JJ's for a beer and some yummy food! Sam even found dinosaur bones! We ate, drank, played, sunned, bragged, played candyland, chess, kites, even went to our neighbor friends' house for a potluck one night.

So we are looking forward to the next time we can get away! Can't be too soon! Adios Mexico!

Mother's Day!

I love, love Mother's Day! I just feel super special, proud, happy and blessed. We had the family over for brunch and enjoyed the outdoors. We played Candyland and football! I took Sam to Glazin in The Sun to make pottery for all the Grandmas, along with homemade painted bags. They loved them of course! Sam made me a very beautiful beaded bracelet at Preschool! It was a great day!

Innocence

Loves playing in Daddy's Kung Fu fighting gearing!

I think it was yesterday we were browsing the TV and I came across a guy who was BLUE on Oprah, I mean really blue, blue skin from something he had been taking. So I said to Sam, "Look at this man he is blue!" Sam says to me, "Mom, everyone is different colors." Like duh, so, whatever! I thought, wow the innocence of a 3 year old is priceless. I also hope, and believe that he is learning that many colors make up this world we live in.

Granny, AKA My Mommy!

I love, adore, admire, like, and am in awe of this woman who I am blessed to have as my Mommy! She is the absolute best Mom and best Granny that has ever lived! She has given her whole self to me, and when Jeff came into my life she has loved him truly. And Sam, well she would die for and spends every minute she can with him. He adores her and she him. She will drop anything to come over here. Even if he talks to her on the phone and says "Granny I want you to come over!" She is on her way.... She will be 63 tomorrow, and she does not let him slow her down!! I don't know what I would do without her. She is my inspiration to be the best mom I can to Sam.

Cookies for Breakfast......

So the other day Sam says he wants to make cookies. So we are at the store and we get everything we need to make homemade sugar cookies, with homemade buttercream frosting, yum! I tell him we will get up and make them for breakfast! So we get up and of course first thing out of his mouth is, lets make our cookies! So we go through the whole process of making everything, which is a little bit of work..... and I am thinking to myself, if I know my son he isn't going to eat even one of these damn things, lol! As I think I have mentioned before, Sam isn't a sweet eater and will rarely eat cookies, cake, brownies, etc. Loves Popsicles though... So anyway he decides he wants to try the frosting and he licks the beater and likes it. So I thought, this is good he may eat these after all. But after we get them cooled and frosted them he won't try not one!!! Ugh, I knew it!! He had me set a few aside without frosting and said he wanted those, but never ate them! So I could not stay out of them, I love homemade frosting, fresh the kind without all the hydrogenated crap and all, and could not stay out of them, which led me to feel very yucky!!! So lesson learned, we will make cookies for special occasions only I suppose....

Loves spray bottles, and helps me clean at least!
