Bean Fest 2008

For a long time we have been wanting to have Aida over to show us how to make her famous refried beans and salsa. Aida, for those who don't know her is my best friends' mom whom we adore. Although she has been to our home hundreds of times we just haven't gotten around to it.... Jeff has been so excited to learn this recipe! So we made a ton of beans and salsa, yum!! It was pretty darn easy actually, just a lot of smashing! So everyone got to to take home some samples. The salsa was my favorite! We never would have guessed she boiled her yellow peppers for a bit before chopping them. Jeff has already gone to the store and bought more ingredients to make more salsa! Now we are going to learn how to make tortillas!! Thanks Aida!
