Best Buddies

Sam's face says it all! He was so happy entertaining his buddies!

Moon Sand!

So my friend Erin and I decided to do a babysitting type of swap a couple of times a month. Our kids go to preschool together (Zach & Sam) and are buds, so why didn't we think of this before!! So they came over for our first night. The kids had so much fun! They play so well together and really are super cute!! What a great time!

They all had to sit together against one pillow to watch the movie. Doesn't get any cuter than this.

Who are you now???

I
He likes to wear this particiular costume and ride his scooter..... my neighbors have free entertainment, daily.
I am not exaggerating when I say Sam is dressed up in some sort of costume/get up almost every hour of the day. Every day. He cracks us up constantly with his get ups and imagination. I guess that is very much expected being an only child! His imagination is unbelievable and wonderful. When he hears that someone is on their way over he immediately will go to his playroom, get into his dress up stuff and come out as who knows who or what, that is if he isn't already in costume! Too funny! There is never a dull moment here at the house!
When I have ore time I will add more pcis of Sam in his various get ups......

Just plain ol' fun!

Up, up and away...
Down, down down...

Back up for more....
We would get to the top and all the kids up there were having me give the a big push to go down even faster, it was pretty funn!

Taking a breather at the top of the slide

We headed over to Pump It Up and had so much fun! It has been a while since we have been to a bouncy place. I think I had as much fun as Sam, seriously! The slide was exhilarating! Man could I pick up speed!! Sam and I would get on these special mats and we would fly down that thing! I went off the landing mat a couple of times, lol!! We then headed to Sonic and sat on the patio, ate our burgers and talked and watched the birds, one of Sam's favorite things to do. Lovely day with my favorite person!

Yep, I think we are done - can you say sweaty stinky boy!Posted by Picasa

Mystery Solved - $787 Billion Economic Stimulus Bill Signing Ceremony

So our tax dollars are going to pay AIG executives millions in bonuses! Just another day of good news from Washington.
Meanwhile, don't look now, but Nancy Pelosi (Speaker of the House) and the Obama Administration is busily working to build up a debt larger than our country or any country has ever seen.
But back to the bonuses. It was a mystery all week how this happened. No one could seem to figure it out.
But then...it leaked out that Democrat Senator Chris Dodd snuck a provision into the massive spending bill that allowed the bonuses to happen.
Dodd denied it at first, then changed his story and now admits that he did it, but says he did it at the request of "Administration staffers".
Finally, the Democrats have been forced to admit that they allowed the AIG bonuses to happen.
This has got to stop.
Please take a minute and click on the link below to watch the RNC's new video exposing the Democrats' latest shell game.

Old Friends Are The Dearest

My mom and I went up north to visit our oldest and dearest friends. A little history..... my Mom and Dad were best friends with Sandy and Freddy in high school in Flagstaff, and their friendship continued. They all had children and we all became the closest of friends. Debby their middle child and I were best Friends. Although we move here and they stayed in Flag, we still traveled back and forth seeing each other. They would even spend the summers with us. My Dad would surprise me and pick Debby up and bring her home to stay with us. We would cry and cry when our visits were over. We had so much fun together and got into so much trouble as well. The stories I could tell, but I won't! But they are very dear to my heart and I treasure those times, they are like nothing else. And I hope my Sam will have a life long friend like I have with Debby. We had a wonderful getaway and are planning our next!Posted by Picasa

Squiggy & Woodstock

Squiggy 1977 or 1978
Woodstock 1978 (I was 10)

I told Sam I had a picture of me with the 2 birds I had when I was a kid. We found them yesterday. He loves them. He is going to hang them up in his room! So funny! I had 2 birds. The first one was the little blue one in the cage. His name was Squiggy. My parents tell me that one day while my mom was clipping his wings he started flying around and my Dad got freaked out (he was a bit freaked out by birds, lol) and he ran out the garage door where the outside garage door was open and squiggy flew out, never to be seen again. I was devastated. Then we got Woodstock my yellow bird. He could say different things like, I'm a pretty boy, and hello! He was so cute. He had a little ladder and would just walk around the house and go up his ladder into his cage when he was ready. I want to get Sam a bird, maybe at the end of the year. We will see.... Jeff is not a fan of the idea.....

Questions to ask your kiddos

I got an e-mail from a friend with these questions to ask your kid. I think Sam may be a bit too young, but he did answer most. No coaching or helping was involved, true honest answers. I will ask him these again at the end of the year just to compare. He did think it was pretty funny that I was asking him all of these.

Sam's feathered friends

Sam really, really loves birds! We went to the library and then walked to the park yesterday to 'visit' the ducks and birds. He could sit there forever just watching and talking about/to his feathered friends. It us super cute! I told him that when he gets a little older we will consider getting him a little bird. I had birds growing up and they really are pretty cute.

Just quietly watching and observing...

So, so in love

With my Super Sam, that is what he is SUPER! I just have been oozing with love for him more than normal! He has been so sweet, charming and wonderful! I just wish I could freeze this time forever, seriously. He is so loving to us all and thoughtful, he is going to be one hell of a catch for the luckiest girl in the world. He is growing up and although I am loving watching him become the little man he is, I can't help but want to stop time. I know it is selfish. He will be going to Kindergarten this fall and that really just scares me. That means he is truly growing up in my mind. I have been going back and forth with possibly keeping him home for another year and him starting kindergarten next year. He will be so young, he will only have been 5 for 2 months when kindergarten starts. I have friends who are doing just that with their child who is the same age as Sam. I have heard from teachers that just 5-6 months age difference is very relevant. But as I was laying with him last night while he fell asleep it really just hit me, he is not my baby anymore, he is going to be going to school, real school, then college and then he will have his own family, wow! Where did all the time go? Why do they have to grow so fast...... Why am I so sad..
