So Not What We Expected

So, yesterday was Walking With Dinosaurs, and as I mentioned in many posts that we have been so excited to go, have had our tickets since beginning of July, yada, yada... We get there, decide to get some snacks and the line is long and the show is starting so i say to Jeff, why don't you guys go to the seats and I will meet you so Sam won't miss anything. They leave, I find them and Sam is on Jeff's lap, SCARED to DEATH! I was shocked and very upset that he was afraid, I never dreamed he would be. The child eats, sleeps, breathes dinosaurs. I try talking to him and reiterating that they are not real, remember the documentary we watched and saw how they were made. He keeps telling us, "TAKE ME HOME!" It was very loud as well and Sam is very sensitive to noise. So Jeff says lets go up and walk around. So they leave, I stay and watch and WOW this show was amazing, at least the 10 minutes I saw, lol! So they come back, I try to see if he wants to sit on my lap, he won't even go down the aisle and starts up the stairs. That's it, show over! I can't tell you how disappointed I am that he was so frightened. It was such a great show, so educational, just amazing. There were quite a few other kids out walking with parents who were also scared. Jeff said one guy offered him and Sam his front row tickets because his little guy was scared. Jeff said, Thanks, but I am in the same boat! We were so bummed all day, my poor little guy. We were very close, only 4 rows up, maybe if we were further away, I don't know.... So I think we spent over $200 for about 15 minutes of show. Ya just have to laugh.
